Annotatsiya

This study explores the translation challenges of Uzbek culture-specific words in literary texts, focusing on how cultural meaning is preserved when such terms are rendered into English. Translation is not only a linguistic process but also a cultural one, especially in literary works where language reflects traditions, values, and social structures. Uzbek literature contains a wide range of culture-bound terms that have no direct equivalents in English, creating difficulties for translators.
