Аннотация
This paper explores the pedagogical implications of incorporating sociolinguistic perspectives into language teaching. It emphasizes the importance of addressing key sociolinguistic themes such as multilingualism, language attitudes, code-switching, language policy, and sociocultural diversity in educational programs. The study highlights how these aspects reflect learners’ diverse linguistic backgrounds and contribute to a deeper understanding of language in its social context. Various teaching methodologies, including communicative language teaching, task-based learning, and project-based learning, are discussed as effective approaches to engaging students in sociolinguistic exploration. Additionally, interactive strategies such as role playing, language mapping, and community-based activities are presented as tools to promote critical thinking and experiential learning. The paper also underscores the role of technology in enhancing sociolinguistic competence through digital communication and online platforms. Ultimately, the study demonstrates that integrating sociolinguistic elements into language instruction fosters linguistic competence, intercultural awareness, and respect for diversity in a globalized world.
