This article presents a comprehensive analysis of major lexical stylistic devices in the English language, including metaphor, metonymy, irony, polysemy, and epithet. These devices are essential tools in both literary and everyday communication, contributing to expressiveness, emotional depth, and aesthetic value. The paper examines their definitions, classifications, stylistic functions, and contextual usage. Special emphasis is placed on their role in discourse and interpretation. The study demonstrates that mastery of these devices significantly improves linguistic competence and communicative effectiveness.
