Аннотация
This article examines the functional and semantic characteristics of key lexical stylistic devices in the English language. It explores the mechanisms behind Metaphor, Metonymy, Irony, Polysemy, and Epithet, illustrating how these devices transform literal meaning into figurative expression. By analyzing their roles in communication, the study highlights how stylistic choices enhance the emotional and aesthetic impact of a text, bridging the gap between linguistic structure and creative discourse.
